I'm an internet junkie that is obsessed with books. I own more than I will ever read in this lifetime and yet I'm still compelled
to buy more. I read mostly romance (mild to completely smutty), YA and urban fantasy.
This is exactly what you expect out of a Jill Shalvis book. Especially one in the Lucky Harbor series. It has all the typical Shalvis charm with a little bit of over-the-top ridiculousness thrown in.
What really makes a Shalvis book such a treat for me is that her lead characters are always so well done. You can generally always understand where they are coming from and they are usually always likable and I don't think anyone writes a hero quite like she does.
Having said that this book also had a few of the issues that have started to irk me in the latest Lucky Harbor books. Namely, Lucille and her gang of seniors and a touch of absurdity that either wasn't present in the first few books or I never noticed it at the time.
Either way she's still a go to author for me and I always enjoy her books.
