I'm an internet junkie that is obsessed with books. I own more than I will ever read in this lifetime and yet I'm still compelled
to buy more. I read mostly romance (mild to completely smutty), YA and urban fantasy.
This book was great! I am a big fan of Long Island Medium and even though I'm not sure that I do believe, I really want to and I think that is one of the reasons I found this book so entertaining.
Matt isn't a believer, he's a cop. He thinks like a cop, he prefers logic and for everything to make sense, up until he sees the ghost of a six-year-old murder victim. From there he meets up with TV medium Kiernan (whom I absolutely adored) and they end up teaming up to catch the little girl's killer.
This book really had everything in it: mystery, suspense, romance, humor (mostly thanks to Kiernan and also his wardrobe.) Just an overall good read. The pacing was great, the author didn't try to bog down the story with gratuitous sex (which is not to say there isn't hot sex in it, because there is, but it's just the right amount) and the secondary characters, Sheila and Aiden, were well done and likable.
I would love to see more books featuring Matt and Kiernan because as much as I loved it, I still feel like I didn't get to spend enough time with these characters.
The only other thing I can think to add is that this book really made me want to find some of that Thin Mint ice cream that Kiernan raved about.
