Tackling Mt. TBR
I'm an internet junkie that is obsessed with books. I own more than I will ever read in this lifetime and yet I'm still compelled
to buy more. I read mostly romance (mild to completely smutty), YA and urban fantasy.
Beauty and the Blacksmith
This novella was an amusing little diversion. Tessa Dare always does a good job of making me smile by inserting humor into her books. With this one she also inserted quite a bit of ridiculousness, if you can get past that, it's still an enjoyable read.
I enjoyed seeing more of Diana and learning more about her than the fact that she's beautiful. Aaron was an interesting hero because he was a craftsman and not even close to a rake and in the world of historical romance this is a rarity.
As a fan of the Spindle Cove series, I admit that I'm a bit let down that Diana didn't get a full length novel. I feel like there was a lot more that could've been done with her story. I really hope that Charlotte gets a full length book when it's time.
This book also has a excerpt of the next book in the series: Any Duchess Will Do. I'm looking forward to reading that book as I'm already quite fond of Griff.
