Tackling Mt. TBR

I'm an internet junkie that is obsessed with books. I own more than I will ever read in this lifetime and yet I'm still compelled
to buy more. I read mostly romance (mild to completely smutty), YA and urban fantasy.

SPOILER ALERT!

Origin (Lux)

Origin - Jennifer L. Armentrout

This book did not turn out how I thought it would. After the cliffhanger of the previous book, I wondered how they would rescue Kat and all the drama that might go along with that. I was curious how it would play out and I even had a few ideas about what might happen. Nothing that happened in this book was even remotely what I thought was going to take place. I really enjoyed it. There is something about this series that is compulsively readable. This book in particular was really action packed. I did find some of the scenes a bit difficult to read, not because the writing was bad, but because it was so vivid and the things that were happening were so awful.

I love, love, love the secondary characters in this book (which isn't to say that I don't also love Kat and Daimon, because I do.) Luc, Archer, Dee, Dawson, Beth... they are all so interesting and you just want to find the author and demand she write stories for each character. I got a great big smile over the fact that the scene from Obsession at Luc's club was also in this book, only from Daimon's POV. I would love to see Hunter show up again this series.

This book will probably leave you with more questions than answers. We learn tons of new information and at the end we still don't know exactly what is true and what isn't. Here are all the spoilery things that I have to get out: Whoa, those origin kids are creepy! And, holy crap, Beth is pregnant! Also, did not expect Kat and Daimon to get married! And why can't Dee and Archer have their own book? Glad I got that out of my system.

I will definitely be sticking with the series. I have to see what happens with all the complete insanity that went down at the end of the book.
