Tackling Mt. TBR
I'm an internet junkie that is obsessed with books. I own more than I will ever read in this lifetime and yet I'm still compelled
to buy more. I read mostly romance (mild to completely smutty), YA and urban fantasy.
Catching Fire (Hunger Games Series #2)
Catching Fire was both more and less than I was hoping for. There was a lot of action and I was pleased that the story was so much more than just them being in The Hunger Games again. On the flip side I feel like the progress in the relationship between Katniss and Peeta was not quite what I had hoped.
Overall, I really enjoyed the book, though. I like that Katniss has unwittingly started a rebellion with her small acts of defiance. I'm even more impressed with the other victors that believe in the revolution so much they are willing to die for it.
There was tons of action in this book, especially in the Games. I think I liked the time before the Games even more because we got to see everyone living their day-to-day lives. The bond that formed between Katniss, Peeta and Haymitch was nice to read about. I'm very much looking forward to reading Mockingjay to see how this all comes together.
