The main reason this graphic novel wasn't a complete win for me is that the story jumped around so freakin' much. I couldn't really get involved in one bit before they were moving off to something else and not all of it was interesting either. This was okay, I haven't decided if I want to pick up the next one or not. It may not be my cuppa.

I just love this series! I thought this was a really great installment. The movement on the bigger story was awesome. I love that all the couples will be joining forces and I absolutely CANNOT wait for Leo's story.

Garrett was a fabulous hero. He really understood Perry since they had been partners and friends for so long. He knew when to push and when to back off and he believed in her abilities even when she didn't.

I understood how difficult Perry's situation was and I admired her desire to protect Garrett, but I felt like it took her too long to decide to tell other people what her secrets were. It got frustrating, not just for Garrett, but also for the reader. I was happy that she got to fight her own battle in the end.

The side characters were mostly characters I already knew and loved from the previous books and I love how they are all being brought together. I was also so happy to see some resolution between Lynch and Garrett. I was heartbroken for them at the end of the previous book.

This is such a great series, I feel like this is what happens when urban fantasy and paranormal romance has a baby. And it is amazing!

I'm all caught up! This installment proves once again that Rick's leadership skills are questionable at best, but somehow he always seems to land on his feet. I can't help but be slightly annoyed at the decision he makes at the end of this book. I feel it will come back to bite him, but time will tell.

So, I am nearly current on this series (at least on the graphic novels) and I honestly have no clue where it's headed. This installment had some truly surprising moments, but I think most of it was a given after the previous issues. Also, after finishing this one, I'm starting to think that Maggie should take over the whole thing. She makes a kick-ass leader.

This was quite a dramatic ending to a fabulous series. Personally, I think there were still so many stories they could've told, but that's probably just because I loved the characters so much.

I took away one star, because despite my appreciation of the ending, I was a bit saddened by it as well.

This was a really interesting reading month for me because I discovered that I enjoyed reading graphic novels. They make for great short reads when you don't have a lot of time and some of the stories are fantastic. On top of that I read 7 other books that were, for the most part, quite good!

Overall, an excellent reading month for me. Hopefully September continues the trend of good books.

I loved this novella about Perry and Garrett! I really enjoyed getting a bit more back story on Perry specifically and this book did an amazing job of building anticipation for the full length novel that is getting ready to come out about them.

It had the bonus of being a very well done mystery about a missing actress. While I did suspect the killer at a few different points, I also thought it could be one or two other people as well which helped to keep me guessing.

If you aren't reading this series yet, then I definitely recommend it!

So many things happened in this installment of iZombie. First off, Gwen found out how she died and why and Horatio found out that he's been dating a zombie. Two epic plot developments and I can't wait to see where the story will go from here.

We also got some nice background info on some of the other characters such as Scott (and his unexpected interest in Gavin.) I'm definitely loving this series and the writer is doing such a great job of weaving all these different parts of the iZombie world together.

The art continues to impress as well, with some truly lovely work.

Extremely short review since I've been at work all day and I'm tired. This is a delightful follow-up to the first graphic novel. It had a lot of fun back story on the main characters. Not quite as fun as the first one, but I'm looking forward to reading the third installment.

This book is very much setting up the next two. It's not big on action and nothing terribly shocking happens. I have to say that despite Negan being the villain, I'm starting to like him. He's just so freakin' twisted. He does horrible things, but he still seems to have a bizzarro code of ethics that makes him fascinating. I'll be sad to see him go when he inevitably gets killed in some gruesome way or another.

This installment also illustrates once again why Rick is the worst leader ever. Despite Jesus giving him a little pep talk about how he's the reason they are all able to come together to defeat Negan, I can't help thinking that Jesus is either trying to build up Rick's confidence or completely delusional. Rick has done nothing but make bad decisions for quite some time now.

At any rate, they explained the tiger in this issue and how he ended up with Ezekiel, nice to know my zoo theory panned out.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this extremely short interlude between Tommy and Prophet (two sex scenes really) but the fact that I had to shell out $3 to read it definitely bums me out a little. This would've been an amazing freebie from the author. As it is, I feel a bit ripped off.

The short doesn't really have much of a plot. It's a moment in the lives of Tom and Prophet. There is absolutely no movement on the bigger story that is taking place in the series and while it is well written and I love seeing Tom and Prophet, I expect a bit more out of something I paid to read.

The most irritating thing is that even though I knew it was going to be short, I was still unpleasantly surprised when the book ended at 86%.

So, while I enjoyed this for what it was, I find that I won't be trusting this publisher anymore when it comes to "novellas" or "shorts" which I feel should have a bit more substance overall.

Side note: My disappointment in the price to actual plot ratio didn't influence my rating of this book. I gave it 3.5 stars for the hot factor and the fact that it's always nice to visit with Prophet and Tom.
