Tackling Mt. TBR

I'm an internet junkie that is obsessed with books. I own more than I will ever read in this lifetime and yet I'm still compelled
to buy more. I read mostly romance (mild to completely smutty), YA and urban fantasy.

My Reading Year in Review - Top 5 Historical Romances

Any Duchess Will Do - Tessa Dare The Mad Earl's Bride - Loretta Chase Secrets of a Summer Night - Lisa Kleypas Scandal in Spring - Lisa Kleypas Texas Destiny - Lorraine Heath

Leading up to the New Year I'm going to be doing some year in review posts. These are books that I read this year, but did not necessarily come out in 2013.

First up are my top 5 historical romances. When I reviewed the books I read this year, I discovered I read more historicals than I realized. I actually enjoyed quite a few of them, but these books were all five star reads for me.

Any Duchess Will Do by Tessa Dare is my favorite historical of the year. I loved this book!

The Mad Earl's Bride is a truly unique and somewhat dark novella. Loretta Chase packed a lot of punch into a small amount of pages. I look forward to reading more by her in the new year.

Secrets of a Summer Night and A Scandal in Spring are the first and last of the Wallflowers books (aside from the Christmas novella.) While I enjoyed all the books in this series, these two were my favorites.

Texas Destiny was such a pleasant surprise. It's one of a very small number of western historical romances I've read. I will admit this was a sub-genre I used to avoid at all costs, but I'm slowly discovering there are some gems to be found here.

I have tons of historical romances still on my TBR, so hopefully 2014 will bring some more great reads.

Which historical romances did you love this year?
